Since the post earlier in the week about the Wood Wood x Generic Surplus ‘olney’ sneaker, I thought we might look back at some of my favorite Wood Wood collaborative projects to date.

The P1 shoe was their first collaborative project which saw them receive worldwide exposure having dealt with such a large label like Adidas. The limited edition pink shoe was released in 2006 and combined the graphics from their then collection which was embroidered on the shoe. This shoe is a personal favorite as I was able to get myself a pair before they sold out.

I am really loving Moccasin’s these days, and this suede loafer made in collaboration between Kitsuné and USA shoe company Quoddy definitely takes the cake. The shoe features a full moccasin construction and comes with glove leather lining and a white, sewn on camp sole.

I am a big fan of Jersey Blazers and this creation from Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN is no exception to the rule. But what differentiates this jersey blazer from other blazers is the amazing attention to detail in the way of the lining and the detailed stitching underneath the notched lapel.

I first saw this windbreaker in a small sneaker store in Bangkok and fell in love with the print. To commemorate Nike’s 35th anniversary of being the ‘Running Company’ they decided to collaborate with Wood Wood. According to the designers at Wood Wood, “We went back to the 80´s - the days of Carl Lewis, Ben Johnson and most of our favorite Nike shoes, and made up the computer game “Running Man” where this guy is getting chased around a maze by a cheetah.”

I’m not always a fan of Visvim’s designs because I think at times they are a bit out there. But I feel this shirt strikes a good balance between innovation and practicality. It is a heavier oxford shirt made of Egyptian cotton and features a very colourful sleeve insert. As always, being a Visvim garment it is made in Japan and has the signature button loop label at the back.
