I’m not always a fan of Visvim’s designs because I think at times they are a bit out there. But I feel this shirt strikes a good balance between innovation and practicality. It is a heavier oxford shirt made of Egyptian cotton and features a very colourful sleeve insert. As always, being a Visvim garment it is made in Japan and has the signature button loop label at the back.
April 10th is a perfect date to launch the UNDFTD x PUMA Clyde sneakers, as ten was the number on the jersey of the legendary basketball player and style icon, Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier. Puma and UNDFTD have teamed up to pay homage with the ‘Stripe Off’ Clydes and its low key appearance is accented by gold foil Clyde logo on the heels, UNDFTD Strikes logo embossed on tan tongue label and waxed shoe laces. There will be four colors available in white, black, gray and olive and each will be released in limited quantities.
Common people is not a name I have come across in footwear before, but this piece is definitely one which has caught my attention. The shoe resembles a common suede moccasin until you reach the welted sole which adds that unique twist. Definitely look forward to seeing more pieces from Common People.
NDG FLIP CLIP - Red with Polarized Brown lens
This collection was previewed earlier in the week with the Gregory Peck model, and now we take a look at some of the best models from the 2011 sunglasses collection. This frame features a flip-up clip which was original debuted in 2008 for the Oliver Peoples collaboration with Nom de Guerre. The NDG is a slim retro style frame handcrafted in lighweight plastic.
Bernardo - Black with Midnight Express Polarized Lens
This is probably my favorite out of the entire collection as it combines the classic keyhole bridge but then features a very contemporary square frame. The slim design is so versatile that the frame can be used as either a Sunglass or as an Optical frame.
Shean - Striped Honey with green Polarized lens
This Retro-inspired sunglass has all the features of a vintage piece with a keyhole bridge and silver vertical plaques on the frame front. The frame is handcrafted of voluminous beveled plastic. The frame featured here is striped honey in colour but they are also available in Matte Red, Dark Tort, Black and Cocobolo.
How can these be sweatpants? Junya Watanabe could pull off something this unique. At first glance they look like a new release jean from the Levis x Comme des Garcons collaboration, but after a closer look it becomes clear it’s a sweat pant.
As part of their limited edition collection ‘Super’ have released the ‘Vincenzo’ sunglasses which is an alternate of their ‘People’ frame. It’s really exciting to see Super paying tribute to vintage styles and processes.
“We are excited to tell you that the VINCENZO are handcrafted using a long-forgotten technique from the ‘70s that combines havana and tortoise acetates, lending authentic old-school kudos to these beauties. Chic Havana Classic is seamlessly blended with a fierce Puma acetate on both the arms and bridge of the model, updating the technique and giving it a current, bold feel. The delicate gold plaques at the front and on the arms nicely catch the light to subtly twinkle against the Havana Classic acetate.
As with all of our products, VINCENZO is handcrafted meticulously in Italy, using only top-drawer materials and Zeiss lenses for indisputable quality and un-rivalled UV protection.”
This Penfield sweater features a shawl collar with a toggle fasten at the front. The shawl collar is usually more common with a knit sweater so using a jersey for this sweater gives it a more casual feel.
I am a fan of polo’s but not as much as Scott Sternberg. After feeling he could never find the perfect polo he started the label This is not a polo shirt which is an extension of Band of Outsiders. This simple polo features a slight design feature in the way of the pocket being embedded in the print.
